The 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 7, that he will not participate in the upcoming US Open 2024, which is scheduled for Aug. 26–Sept. 8, 2024. He has won four US Open Grand Slam titles in the years of 2010, 2013, 2017, and 2019.
The 38-year-old tennis pro expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and said he will "miss those electric and special night sessions in NYC at Ashe," but he doesn't think he will be able to give it his all this time.
He continued, "Thanks to all of my US fans in particular. I will miss you all and see you another time." "Good luck to everyone at the US Open, which is always incredible!"
He reassured their fans that he will play in the upcoming Laver Cup, which will be held from September 20–22, 2024, in Berlin.
